This company came to fill up my tanks in February and the driver said I had a leak and could not fill. So a service techie is called and tests the line and says everything checks out fine, and fills up. I noticed on my bill a charge of $375 to pay for this person to come out to my property only to tell me I do not have a leak. Osterman were unwilling to listen to my concerns about this charge, and even sent out a notice, pinned to my front door, saying equipment had been removed from my property and the account sent to collections if not paid immediately. So not only were they trespassing, but I OWN ALL MY OWN EQUIPMENT...did they actually remove/steal something as they stated?

The staff at Ostermann were incredibly belligernant and unpleasant and had absolutely no interest in resolving this issue without using the treat of sending my account to collections. Looking at all the complaints against this โ€œ3-generationโ€ family run business their motto should be โ€œThe Customer is Never Rightโ€. I have a large house using propane heating throughout the winter at a cost of many $thousands but I will spend my money elsewhere with a fuel provider who is respectful of their customers and does not believe in levying bogus charges in the hope that the bill will not be scrutinized. Never do business with these people unless you like throwing your money away.

Monetary Loss: $375.

We made a mistake and we sincerely apologize. Not an excuse, but at least a reason for this mishap.

You ran out of gas and we dispatched a delivery driver. As per our policy, the driver did a leak check. That leak check failed and no one was home to let the driver in. We then dispatched a service technican on a weekend to try and find why the test failed.

The technician re-tested and found no leaks. As there were no leaks our normal procedure would be to charge for a weekend service call.

We did not communicate internally to realize why all this happened, and unfortunately stuck you with the bill. We have waived all charges and offer our sincere apologies.
